Guides

Guides for turning lyrics into songs

These 20 guides cover lyric formatting, syllables, melody, pronunciation and how lyrics-to-song tools compare.

Questions

The short answers.

Will the AI change my lyrics?
No. When you paste lyrics, MusicVivo sings them as written. If a line has many more syllables than its neighbours the singer may rush it, so it helps to keep lines in a section roughly the same length. If you want help writing lyrics instead, leave the box empty and describe the song.
How should I format my lyrics?
Put each sung line on its own line and mark sections with labels such as [Verse], [Chorus] and [Bridge]. Leave a blank line between sections. Repeating the chorus text where you want it sung again gives the clearest result. Avoid stage directions inside lyric lines, since they may be sung.
What is the .lrc file I get?
An .lrc file is a plain text file with a timestamp before each lyric line. Music players, karaoke apps and video editors use it to show lyrics in time with the audio. MusicVivo creates it automatically for every sung track, so you do not need to time the lines by hand.
Can it sing names or unusual words?
Usually yes, but uncommon names, slang and brand names can be mispronounced. If a word comes out wrong, spell it the way it sounds, for example writing Shawn instead of Sean, and generate again. Setting the vocal language to match the lyrics also improves pronunciation.
Do I keep the rights to my lyrics?
Your lyrics remain your own writing. The generated audio is licensed to you according to your plan: personal use on Free, and commercial use on Starter, Creator and Pro. If you plan to release the song through a distributor, read their AI content rules and keep a copy of your original lyric file.
How long can a song from my lyrics be?
Up to four minutes per track. A typical song with two verses, a chorus repeated three times and a bridge fits comfortably in three to four minutes. Credits are charged per second of audio, so a 3:30 song uses 210 credits from your monthly balance.
