Questions
The short answers.
- What makes a track sound lofi?
- Lofi usually combines a relaxed tempo around 70 to 90 BPM, swung or lazy drums, jazzy chords like sevenths and ninths, and warm, slightly worn textures such as vinyl crackle or tape hiss. Describing those elements in your prompt, along with a setting like a rainy night, gives the most typical lofi result.
- Can I make lofi with vocals?
- Yes. The lofi preset starts with vocals off, but you can raise the vocal slider or ask for a hushed vocal, a hum or a short repeated phrase. Keeping the vocal soft and low in the description helps it stay in the background, which suits study and chill playlists.
- Can I use these tracks on a lofi YouTube channel or stream?
- Tracks made on Starter, Creator or Pro include a commercial license, so you can use them in monetized streams and videos. Free plan tracks are for personal listening only. Platforms also have their own policies on AI-generated content, so check those and keep a record of your generations.
- How long can a lofi track be?
- Each track can be up to four minutes. For a longer playlist, generate several tracks in the same mood with small changes in tempo or instruments, then play them in sequence. Credits are per second, so ten three-minute tracks use 1800 credits, which fits within the Pro plan.
- Is lofi actually good for studying?
- Many people find steady, wordless music helps them settle into work, while others prefer silence. Effects vary from person to person, so try a few sessions with and without music. Instrumental tracks with an even tempo and no sudden changes are the usual choice for focus.
- How is this different from Lofi Girl or royalty-free libraries?
- Popular lofi channels and libraries offer existing tracks you listen to or license. MusicVivo generates new tracks from your description, so you can shape the mood and length and use them under your plan license. Library tracks are often used by many creators, while a generated track is made for your prompt.
