Short version: tracks you make on a paid plan can be used commercially, including monetized videos, podcasts, ads, games and releases on streaming services. Tracks made on the Free plan are for personal, non-commercial use. You may not claim a MusicVivo track as the basis of a copyright claim against others.
Who this license applies to
This license covers audio, lyrics files (.lrc) and album covers you generate with MusicVivo ("Outputs"). It is part of our Terms of Service. The plan you were on when a track was generated decides which rights apply to that track. Upgrading later does not change the license of tracks made on the Free plan; regenerate them on a paid plan if you need commercial rights.
Free plan: personal use
- Listen, share with friends and family, post on personal social accounts that are not monetized.
- Use as a gift, at a private event, or for practice and learning.
- No monetized uploads, client work, ads, product placement, or distribution to streaming services.
Paid plans (Starter, Creator, Pro): commercial use
- Use in monetized YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch and podcast content.
- Use in ads, client projects, apps, games, films and live events.
- Release on streaming services and sell downloads, under your own artist name.
- Edit, cut, loop, remix and combine Outputs with your own material.
- These rights continue after you cancel, for tracks generated while your paid plan was active.
- No attribution is required. Crediting "Music made with MusicVivo" is welcome but optional.
What is not allowed on any plan
- Reselling or licensing Outputs as stand-alone stock music, sample packs or beat leases to third parties.
- Prompting for, or presenting Outputs as, the voice or work of a real, identifiable artist.
- Registering Outputs with content-identification systems in a way that blocks or claims other people's use of similar music.
- Using Outputs for unlawful, hateful, harassing or deceptive content.
Your lyrics and prompts
Lyrics you write and paste remain yours. Lyrics MusicVivo writes for you are licensed to you on the same terms as the track. Make sure you have the rights to any lyrics you paste; do not paste lyrics from songs you do not own.
Platform claims
AI-generated music can occasionally resemble other recordings, and content-identification systems on video platforms make automated matches we do not control. If a platform flags a track you made on a paid plan, you can dispute it with that platform; contact us and we will confirm the generation record for your account. Laws on AI-generated works differ by country, and this page is not legal advice.
